What an amazing trip we had to the 2 Rivers Bluegrass Festival in Leakesville Ms.
It was so nice to see some old friends & meet some new ones. Special thanks to Odell & May Helen Toomey--> Bill & I are just in awe of what ya'll have done to the 'Hut' on the river.
The entire week was full of great entertainment on stage..picken at the campers..eating...sleeping & starting it all over again each day. Just packed full of things to do everyday!
This was the first time for me to get to actually see & hear one of my favorite bluegrass groups in person: the great Hall of Famer- Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver. WOW!
If you were not foot stompin... out of your seat... enjoying them you must not have had a heartbeat.
Another group that was awesome: The Martins...Janis Martin on the banjo will blow the mind with her talent...as an aspiring banjo picker Janis is a huge inspiration for me to look to. I had a chance to visit & get some great tips from her. All the members of the family are champion entertainers...
Another group The Muellers are the Partridge family of bluegrass.
Very cute & well put together stage show. Along with the mom & dad..the kids range from 21-7 yrs old ...its a great show!
Bill & I just had the best time & we are already looking forward to the next one!
